EH01 is a pendant lamp designed by Emil Holck, featuring shades made from Japanese washi paper and a framework of laser-cut acrylic.

The lamp is distinguished by its unique form, consisting of an inner and an outer lampshade. Together, the two shades complete the lamp’s form while creating an intriguing interplay of light and shadow when illuminated. Light is reflected between the shades, while shadows are cast where they overlap. This creates distinctive shadow patterns across the lamp’s surface, contributing to its unique visual identity.

Furthermore, the lamp has been designed with a strong focus on circular design principles and sustainability. Its construction allows it to be assembled and disassembled entirely without the use of tools. This makes it easy to separate the different materials, supporting reuse and recycling of the components at the end of the product’s life cycle.
